Meet the voice behind the words

     My name is Jocelyn Schindler. I'm a student, a writer, and a book lover.

     I’ve been creating fiction as long as I can remember—whether it was page-long stories starring my cousins and me or the hand-drawn picture books with no words that only I could interpret. I’ve always loved fabricating my own world. 

     I started writing full stories when I was 11. It was a 50-page long fantasy piece about a make-believe world, which included characters inspired by my friends and family and ended on a cliffhanger.

     But that was just the beginning. 

     Since then, I've learned so much about writing and how to write well. And I'm passionate about sharing it.

     Here at Write Side of Life, I will give you writing advice, tips, and more in my Writer’s Takes series. I post new blogs every other Monday. You can also find my writing on the "Stories" page of this website.
